How does the Quran work?
The Quran is the central religious text of Islam, which Muslims believe to be a revelation from God (Arabic: الله, Allah). It is widely regarded as the finest piece of literature in the Arabic language. It is the only sacred book that Muslims consider to be the word of God, the only surviving remnant of a divine revelation. It contains guidance and religious law, as well as a variety of religious and spiritual concepts.
The Quran was revealed to Muhammad in multiple chapters and sets of verses over a period of approximately 23 years, from approximately 610 to sometime after 632. The Quran was originally written in the form of a book in the Arabic language. It is divided into chapters called suras, which are then divided into verses, called Ayah. Each sura contains a message, a lesson, and religious law. The first chapter is called the Awa, and it contains the stories of the first people, and the last chapter is called the Adhkar, which contains the story of the last people and the lesson of the last day. There are more than 20 chapters in the Quran. The first chapter, called Surah al-Waqi'ah (The Cow), contains the story of the creation of the universe and life on Earth, as well as the first verses of the Quran. The last chapter, called Surah al-Asr, contains the story of the Children of Israel and the prophetic message.
